## When the fault is more likely to be console-side

If several known-working cables and display inputs fail in the same way, the evidence shifts away from the external setup. One possibility is physical damage at the console connector; another is a fault elsewhere in the display-output path, and we would confirm that during diagnosis rather than naming a component from the symptom alone. A loose or visibly damaged port should be inspected before more cables are forced into it.

Do not force an HDMI plug into a damaged or misaligned port. Bent or damaged contacts can make the repair more involved.
